Finished portrait =]

Process:
I skipped a bunch of steps but here is the gist of it. I usually sketch lots of quick thumbnails to block out composition. Then I get clean, finished lines, blow them up and trace them over to canvas. Here I went over the pencil lines with a sharpie and some thicker markers. Then I diluted some warm acrylics and did a few washes, waiting for each wash to dry first. I left the hair flat and streaky (textured), just the way I wanted it. Then I made lots of washes on the face and had to correct some stuff like the forehead colors/values. Overall Im pretty happy with it, but I know it could still use some work. With that said Im moving on to the next portrait... which is a self portrait! =]
